Then the Cartel was handed a sick twist of fate due to the COVID fiasco and its embrace of draconian mandates and unscientific policies. From the endorsement of the World Health Organization (WHO) by the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) and the ACA, to the promotion and lobbying efforts to get chiropractors to administer COVID vaccines by the ACA, to the attack on free speech and enforcement of compelled speech in regards to chiropractic and its role in immune function - the Chiropractic Cartel took every opportunity to muzzle and restrict those chiropractors practicing in a subluxation model.
And Colorado was Ground Zero for much of it.
Emergency Rules now in effect for COVID-19 vaccinations in the State of Colorado allow chiropractors to inject patients with the experimental COVID-19 vaccine in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Dozens of Colorado chiropractors were hauled before the regulatory board and departments of health for allegedly violating draconian mandates and for the slightest suggestion that chiropractic could assist the functioning of the immune system.
Even the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE), the central player in the funding of the Cartel and the funneling of student loan money through the profession, stuck its nose where it didn't belong. In what amounted to a punch in the gut to Colorado Chiropractors who fought desperately to be able to stay open to care for their patients amidst the Coronavirus pandemic - Norman Ouzts DC, the Chief Executive Officer for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE), which is located in Greeley, said he concurred with the regulatory authority (DORA), that very few chiropractors would be able to keep their doors open.

But fortunately for Colorado chiropractors the CCA has righted itself, cleaned house and changed the direction of chiropractic in the state.
Under the new leadership of the CCA, the following motions and resolutions were recently passed:
COLORADO CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS
Colorado Chiropractic Association stands against the inclusion of prescription drugs and their administration in the Colorado Chiropractic Practice Act.
Colorado Chiropractic Association stands against the inclusion of all injectables (prescription and non-prescription) and their administration in the Colorado Chiropractic Practice Act.
Colorado Chiropractic Association stands against chiropractors performing vaccinations in the Colorado Chiropractic Practice Act.
The following motions were passed by the Colorado Chiropractic Association as official positions as a result of the efforts of its members:
Whereas addressing subluxations and spinal adjustments are central to The Colorado chiropractic practice act. The Colorado Chiropractic Association considers it standard practice and an acceptable standard of care for practitioners to choose to deliver care solely for the location analysis and correction of spinal subluxations in child and adult patients, regardless of whether symptoms are present.
Subluxations are in and of themselves a detriment to one’s health.
Whereas The Colorado Chiropractic Association is concerned with practitioners delivering quality chiropractic care, the CCA considers it standard practice and within the acceptable standard of care, as noted in recognized clinical practice guidelines, to take x-rays for the location and analysis of spinal subluxations when clinically indicated.
Clinical indications include evidence of subluxation demonstrated by chiropractic examination, and is not limited to patients presenting with symptoms or a history of trauma.
Whereas the Colorado chiropractic Association considers patient safety a priority, The Colorado Chiropractic Association considers it an acceptable and standard practice for chiropractic practitioners to deliver chiropractic care solely for the location analysis and correction of spinal subluxation and for practitioners to choose to focus their scope of practice to that practice objective when an informed consent is obtained from the healthcare consumer.
Whereas the Colorado Chiropractic Association supports free-market competition in the healthcare marketplace, the Colorado Chiropractic Association supports chiropractic practitioners and their patient’s right to lawfully contract privately for professional services, and is opposed to regulatory agencies interfering with the ability of chiropractors to enter into lawful contracts for the provision of professional services.
Whereas multiple health care professions including dentistry and medicine utilize open office design concepts. The Colorado Chiropractic Association considers it standard practice and within the acceptable standard of care to deliver chiropractic care in an open adjusting room setting as long as provisions are made to respect requests for patient privacy and the chiropractor complies with HIPAA privacy regulations.
The CCA had previously endorsed the ACA's Bill when the organization was controlled by a voting block of ACA members in leadership positions.
The current leadership of the CCA includes:
- Jarod Waters, DC - President
- RJ Gelinas, DC - President-Elect
- Mike Lynch, DC - Vice-President
- David Hughes, DC - Treasurer
- Shannon Bundy, DC - Secretary
