Delta Sigma Chi Joins the Fight for Chiropractic Freedom

Originally published: 2025-06-06

A Historic Brotherhood Steps Forward

The Chiropractic Freedom Coalition continues to gain strength and momentum as yet another iconic organization joins the movement. The Delta Sigma Chi International Chiropractic Fraternity—commonly known as the Delts—has formally signed on to the Resolutions to Restore Freedom to Chiropractic Education, Licensing, and Practice. Their endorsement marks a powerful moment in the campaign to dismantle the monopolies that have long dictated the terms of chiropractic's future.

“We are a Fraternity of men bonded in brotherhood in support of a profession providing a necessary service for the health and well being of humanity.” — Delta Sigma Chi

With the Delts now on board, nearly 60 chiropractic organizations worldwide have joined forces to end the stranglehold exerted by private corporations operating under the guise of regulatory and educational necessity. These monopolistic structures—most notably the NBCE, CCE, and FCLB—have created a closed-loop cartel that has drained chiropractic of its innovation, buried its unique identity, and imposed unjust burdens on students and doctors alike.

The Delts join recent signatories including FOCUS and Innate Adjusting.

Living the Principles of Service and Strength

Delta Sigma Chi’s decision to sign the Resolutions is more than symbolic. It’s a call to action rooted in the fraternity’s century-long legacy of service, strength, and unwavering commitment to the founding principles of chiropractic. The Delts’ mission is not merely to preserve tradition, but to actively advance the science and art of chiropractic through education and leadership.

Their core values—Service, Brotherhood, Accomplishment, Intelligence, Wisdom, Strength, and Commitment—are not just words etched in a mission statement. They are lived daily by members who embody the spirit of chiropractic’s pioneers. In joining the Coalition, the Delts have aligned these values with the fight for professional autonomy and ethical governance.

Momentum Is Building

Delta Sigma Chi follows a growing wave of organizations now standing against chiropractic’s captured infrastructure. Recent additions to the list of signatories include the FOCUS organization, the FOCUS Foundation, and Innate Adjusting Workshops—groups known for their dedication to principled chiropractic and hands-on clinical excellence.

The Resolutions lay out a clear path to a free, competitive, and thriving chiropractic profession—one where schools reclaim their autonomy and where no private corporation can dictate and control who gets to be a chiropractor through a state mandated monopoly.

What’s at Stake

For decades, future chiropractors have been saddled with crushing debt to pursue degrees approved only through one accreditor. They’ve been forced to pass costly, centralized exams that serve no valid purpose beyond enriching a private testing monopoly. The result? A profession increasingly disillusioned, under-leveraged, and misrepresented.

This cartel has not just harmed students—it has diluted the profession’s competitive advantage, eroded public trust, and punished those who dare to preserve chiropractic’s distinct identity.

“Control has stifled the development, growth and innovation of chiropractic, diluted its competitive advantage and saddled future generations of chiropractors with unnecessary debt.”

The Brotherhood That Remembers Who We Are

Founded in 1913 by students at Palmer School of Chiropractic, Delta Sigma Chi was born from a desire to protect and promote the foundational philosophy of chiropractic. Over the past century, the Delts have remained steadfast in their mission—even as the profession has been steered off course by external agendas and internal compromise.

In choosing to support the Resolutions, the Delts are making it clear: they haven’t forgotten where we came from, and they’re not backing down from the fight for where we’re going.

This is more than a movement. It’s a revival. And the Delts are helping lead the charge.
